If you’ve been following along for a while, you probably know me as the person constantly talking about resale finds, online sourcing, eBay, Poshmark, and why someone somewhere is willing to pay $200 for a sweater you almost donated.

But I realized something recently: I’ve never properly introduced myself.

So let’s fix that.

My name is Kristin, and I’ve spent most of my adult life studying one thing:

People.

Sometimes that happened in a classroom.

Sometimes it happened in a corporate office.

And sometimes it happened while watching someone bid aggressively on a vintage Disney sweatshirt at 2 a.m.

Turns out they’re all surprisingly connected.

It Started With Psychology

I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Psychology because I’ve always been fascinated by human behavior.

Why do people buy things?

Why do they make irrational decisions?

Why do some people spend $8 on a coffee without blinking but spend three weeks debating a $20 pair of shoes?

Psychology gave me a framework for understanding how people think, make decisions, and interact with the world around them.

Years later, I would discover those same principles show up everywhere in business, marketing, negotiation, and resale.

Especially resale.

Then Came the MBA

After earning my psychology degree, I went on to complete my MBA.

While psychology helped me understand people, business school helped me understand systems.

Marketing.

Finance.

Operations.

Strategy.

The things that happen behind the scenes of successful companies.

At the time, I didn’t know I’d eventually be running my own resale business, but looking back, every class turned out to be useful.

Yes, even accounting.

Well… mostly.

My Career in Finance

For more than 16 years, I worked as a negotiator in the financial industry.

My job involved helping people navigate difficult situations, solving problems, communicating clearly, and finding solutions that worked for everyone involved.

It taught me patience.

It taught me resilience.

And it taught me that listening is usually more powerful than talking.

Those years gave me a front-row seat to human behavior under pressure, which is basically a master’s class in psychology all by itself.

The experience shaped how I approach business today.

The Unexpected Reselling Career

What started as a side hustle eventually became a full-time business.

And somehow, before I knew it, I had spent years buying, researching, photographing, listing, shipping, and selling thousands of items online.

I’ve sold everything from designer fashion and vintage treasures to collectibles, home goods, and things I genuinely had to Google because I had absolutely no idea what they were.

One day you’re listing a luxury dress.

The next day you’re researching a porcelain clown from 1987.

That’s the beauty of reselling.

Every day is different.

Why I Started This Blog

I created Premier Finds because I wanted to share what I’ve learned.

Not just about reselling.

About business.

About online marketplaces.

About trends.

About sourcing.

About sustainability.

About building something of your own.

The resale industry has changed dramatically over the years, and I’ve been fortunate enough to experience many of those changes firsthand.

I’ve made mistakes.

I’ve learned expensive lessons.

I’ve had incredible wins.

And I believe sharing that knowledge helps all of us grow.

As this community grows, I plan to create more in-depth resources, guides, ebooks, and tools designed to help both new and experienced resellers build stronger businesses.

My goal is simple:

To help people work smarter, source better, and avoid some of the mistakes I made along the way.

And hopefully have a few laughs while we’re doing it.

So whether you’re a reseller, entrepreneur, fashion lover, treasure hunter, or simply someone who enjoys a good thrift store story, welcome.

I’m glad you’re here.

Let’s see what we can find together.
